I have really enjoyed this class. I love to paint so i'm happy they have added a class just for that. This class have really helped me and i have learned so much. There are things that i will still need to practice in the future, but i have learned many technique. I wish this class was a year long so we could have time to do more projects and wouldn't have to rush some. The projects that we did were fun but also challenging. I liked how to got to work with different kinda of paint, watercolor, acrylic, and oils. Also, i think it was cool that i got to work with using a palette knife, something I've never done before. I don't really like it mostly because i need to practice how it use it more and how to hold it but it was a good learning experience. Everything we have did in this class has helped improve my skills. Overall, i really loved this class. Thank you for a great semester!

This project was done in acrylic paint and i chose to do a bunny. For the background i added line strokes of green, red, blue, and yellow. Then i added white paint and wiped across the other colors horizontally to kind of create a blurred effect. I started to paint this in the same color as the picture but it was very difficult to do the white parts of the fur and making it so that you can see the different layers of it so i chose to do brown. I struggled with the fur a lot, i had to go over it many times and use different colors. I think what i kept doing wrong was that i was making inconsistent strokes, some were thicker than others and they were different sizes. I had to do a lot of layering with the brown. Whenever we did the fur practices it seemed easy because we were only using black and white at first. The aesthetic quality that i like about my painting is how close up it is and having a blurred background to focus more on the animal. I used lighter shades brown, white, and a tanish color to add highlights.
For this project i choose this picture that i took when i was at Myrtle Beach. The picture is kind of dark so i changed the colors a bit. I did this in oil paint. I think this painting looks pretty neat. This painting was fun to me, i didn't have much trouble with the oil paints like i've had before, everything came out how i wanted it to. The only difficulties i had was making the tall grass, i had trouble making it actually look like grass and also with the little water fountain in the middle with trying not to make the lines looks so thick and solid. What i like most about this painting is the palm trees and the reflection in the water. The colors i mostly used were different shades of greens and blues. For the grass i made irregular line strokes in different places and put the darker colors on the bottom. I added some highlights by using a lighter green. I also used the darker green to separate them. Overall i think this painting came out very well and looks a lot like the real picture.
For this project it was Hundertwasser inspired. He paints abstract paintings with many patterns and designs, and a lot of them are layered. I had fun with this project, i've never did a painting like this before. I got my idea from combining different picture that i found online and i got the idea for my boarder from a peacock feather. I think this resembles his paintings because of the many different colors and patterns he uses. I used mostly different shades of greens. I didn't have many difficulties but one problem i had was layering the paint, some parts of the grass is a little see-through and didn't do anything when i added more paint.
